Lift question/pic request

I have a 2011 Rubicon 2 door that I bought mostly built by the previous owner. I want to put a suspension lift on it because at the moment, there is only a Rough Country spacer lift. Anyways, someone told me that the Rubicon has a 2" lift from the factory. So if I was to put a 2.5" lift on it, would that only lift it half an inch more over stock? I plan on running 285s so if anyone has pictures that would be awesome. Also, I don't know if I should keep the spacers on or get rid of them, so any advice on that would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

I dont think there is a 2" factory lift on the newer Rubi's.... I would look into that more.

Further research tells me that the JK Rubicon does not come with a 2" lift.

My '12 JK with 18 and 58 springs and .75" spacers with 285/70/17, stock wheels no spacers. The springs and spacers added about 2.25" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Stock springs were 14 and 55.

Your Rubicon would look the same with rock Krawler 2.5 max travel and 35's.

Tire size and maybe stiffer rates coils but NO.

What are you referring to?
Also, would I lose MPGs if I went from a 33 to 35?

Rubicon’s don’t have any lift over a X/Sport or Sahara. They do have slightly stiffer springs and 32” tires which would make it look “taller” next to a stock Sport or Sahara.

If you throw a 2.5” lift on it you will gain 2.5-4” of lift. Depending on the company. I think Rock Krawler 2.5” gain almost 4” on a 2 door.

rotational mass and weight will affect your mpg's. From 33-35, your talking about more weight and bigger mass. I also noticed after i lifted my jeep, i have a very very slight decrease in mpg. i'm guessing that the front ride height which is now leveled is more prone to the effects of wind resistance/and rolling resistance. i was getting high 19's, low 20's...but now i'm stuck on mid 19's ever since i lifted.
