man it should be a keeper. It looks good and it was put together pretty good. Does not look like to many shortcuts were made.

I'd be afraid to try to tell you a value though. If I threw out a number my better half would be squeeling at the amount of money i have spent on ours.

Good build as long as its not been be dogged.

A stock one would be around 5.5k to about 7k around me. The modifications mean nothing to most people other than it looks cool so you could add 1-2k when in reality the value is still 5.5-7k. If you found someone who knew about it and was going to use it maybe 10-12k if your lucky. There is also about 20k worth of jeep there but you will never get that.

4 cylinder hurts the value. I'd say around 7k.

Owen_TJ 07-11-2013 07:00 PM

i'd say around the 8k mark but that thing looks really clean and i definitely vote you keep it...take it through some trails and out camping and i bet you'll turn into a jeep guy.

Seems really well put together and quality parts...

2.5L puts it down low, resale value is not very good for inline-4.

X2 well said my friend.

Good deal my friend. Keep it. Or put it on for $7,500. The 4cyl hurts but it had 4:88 gears, but I would keep it.

That is one well built jeep I would keep it if it were me ull never get what its worth. Just to give u an idea
Arbs 900 each
D44 ~ 500-700 depending on area
4:1 tcase 1500
Super 30 kit is I think like 600
So thats like 4500 in just those items not to mention the rest of the stuff. Someone put alot of money into that thing

coelement777 07-11-2013 10:12 PM

$8k sounds about right but if you dont need the money right now i would keep it. You could not build one yourself for anywhere near what you would get out of it and you can put another 10k miles on it and still sell it for 8k in a year or 2.

Awesome guys this place is great.
I'm keeping it
Just ordered kings

I put them on everything, I'm a desert guy.
So I guess I'm a jeeper now.
Here what I traded

WredTJ 07-11-2013 11:35 PM

Good for you! You're gonna love it! Bought my first one a month back, traded a motorcycle, and haven't looked back! This is a toy you will enjoy year round, any weather, anyone can drive it, and you are in the company of some of the nicest people I've ever met!

MetalMountainGoat 07-12-2013 12:07 AM

To be a 2.5l, that thing is pretty beastly. Someone spent some time and money doing right. It will be a great platform to start with. That 2.5 ever goes, just drop in a V8 and BAM!!! you have one mean jeep.

EMTJEEP 07-12-2013 12:10 AM

What kings did you order?

Where do you go in desert? I head down with my jeep and bikes to glamis/pismo and jawbone whenever i get a chance.

brs256 07-12-2013 08:34 AM

good choice on keeping it , personally would remove the grill cover , chrome don't get you home

Owen_TJ 07-12-2013 09:29 AM

Great choice keeping it...i'd bet my own jeep that you'll love your new one

congrats on the pick up!!

NC Bear 07-12-2013 09:42 AM

good for you on keeping it.

as fr as chrome, well I say this

"Chrome is meant to be inside rifle barrels, not on Jeep's"

kings for the 3-5" lift. with resevoirs
not the adjustable

I have a rhino to (will have a rzr xp soon) that we take to glamis, and Johnson valley. toy hauler ect. but im thinking motorhome now so I can take the jeep too. I already have a flatbed.

im running Holcomb creek this sat with a bunch of buddies in the local mountains so we will see how she does.

thanks for all the positive replies,

I think I am actually turbo charge this thing for a little better around town driving, I can build myself for around 1500 bucks.
and the 4cyl power crawling seems to work fine. I wont really need boost for crawling. but this thing lags getting on the hwy. and maintaining 65.
4 gear all day.

If you are going to wheel in the rocks at all, i would recommend purchasing a high clearance transfer case skid. Being that you already have a SYE and body lift, all you would need is the skid (and a cable transfer case shifter if you dont want to adjust the linkage)
