Hey all,

Wanted to say hi - just purchased a new JK, havent had a jeep in about ten years so ingot the bug.
She's a triple black Moab and I am very happy so far.
I've already ordered the Genright aluminum winch bumper with grille guard ( http://www.genright.com/ProductInfo....0#.Ud87-4y9KK0 ) and large stinger as well as the Genright rear aluminum tire swing gonna powder them black. Also ordered the light bar bracket.
Gonna hook her up with a ton of VisionX LEDs and I think a 3" lift with 35s.
There is a slight possibility il just put spacers on and slide 33s under her. Any suggestions?

Nice ride, Welcome from Central Kansas.

Welcome!

Check out Element Offroad/Maryland Jeep Club on Facebook. Great group with M&G, trail rides, etc.

Also there is a group from this forum doing a trail ride up at Rausch Creek the weekend of July 19th. I think it's under the trail ride thread.

element4all 07-21-2013 10:39 AM

I live in PA just above Rising Sun but work in Edgewood by the base. I've seen the Green TJ before and will now keep an eye out for the others I know are nearby. You'll always get a Jeep wave from me unless you're in a Liberty :D Mine isn't a DD but you'll see me in it down this way when the monsoon season ends. Did drive it the couple nice days we had last week

Glad to know my Jeep is well known haha :) Mines my daily driver / competition-show vehicle. I've been in all the major parades, jeep jamborees, and other events within 100 miles. I'll keep an eye out for ya'll though, I remember most the modded jeeps I see.

Gotta wheels back today from being powdered black - dropping off for my tires and lift!
Unfortunately my bumpers won't be in until Monday so I can't get them on until late next week earliest.

She's almost done - this week I added a genright aluminum tire swing (not shown) - aluminum front stinger, visionX light bar, windshield lights and ditch lights and air raid intake. Inso added a set of soft glow (white) under carriage lights for path lights at night. They glow when you unlock the doors. This is a pic from the Carlisle truck nationals this weekend - my buddy Rob standing behind her. It was drizzling so the top had to be up. I'm almost done w her.

Hey guys. I'm moving to your general area in about three weeks.

I'll be living and working in the APG/Edgewood area.

I lived in MD before, twice, 96-2000, and 06-07, but that was over in the Ft. Meade / Columbia area. I had a mildly build XJ with VA plates at the time and have done the easy mode stuff at Rausch, the fire roads and flagpole run at GW.

I hope to find a legal-to-wheel beach area since I've not done that since forever.

Yeah I've not seen your rig yet I don't think. I do wave across four lanes once I confirm it's a Jeep though, so sometimes I miss the details, lol.

I do get lots of waves though. I've seen lots of nice rigs around, including a Gecko JK with lots of mods, some of the Adams builds running up and down 40 (guessing due to the lettering down the hood), and some really nice TJs and YJs.

Mike Gardner 09-17-2013 05:17 AM

Test4echo, I know that dude.. Lol

live_slow, if you're interested in any off road from green fire roads to beach access contact me at Adams Jeep. I'm the guy with the cj2a. We spoke when you first pulled up for your oil change yesterday.

element4all 09-17-2013 12:09 PM

Ricanbandit 09-19-2013 01:31 PM

thanks, yeah i'll probably avoid the technical stuff for a while. i don't want to break stuff on my DD.

i'll be looking for a welder by spring or sooner if my house back in AL sells, doing C's and probably a truss before going up a tire size.....
