oil pressure sender
got a new one tonight.

anyone want to write me a quick how to for the swap out?

its cold as all get out in the garage and i dont want any suprises. dont want to be out there any longer than i need to

super simple, but make sure you have a socket that will fit it. just turn the old one out, and put the new one in. do not gorilla fist it, just has to be snug.

roger that. i was going to match the new one up with a nice closed end wrench as it would have to be a super deep socket to get it on/off.

is oil going to pour out?

:rofl: great pic, i think i got a new avatar for the first time. wrench will work to, as long as there's room to turn it. and yes a socket would have to be deep.

some oil will usually leak out, but just a little, but a drain pan under it and you'll be fine.

one last question. probably the most important in relation to the swap.

where is it located lol. ive read its near the oil filter.. i have a 2.5

whats the best approach angle to get it out? above or below the jeep?

and where is it in relation to the filter?

just trying to make things smooth.. wouldnt want to throw a ''monkey'' wrench in the gears

4cyl tj should be similar to the 4.0's i seem to do a ton of. it should be by the filter, accesible from up top.

ok found it easily, but i dont have any wrenches that big. i do have a socket but its not deep enough.

should have it done tomorrow. the guy im swapping tops with is a 18wheeler mechanic so im sure he might lend me something a little deeper

make DAMN sure you put even pressure in the right direction on it......if it breaks, its a mofo. (mine had been jerry rigged by PO and when i went to remove it, it snapped off even with the block....and easy outs dont work on brass)
