Looking for some trails in southwest va

I just got my jeep on Tuesday and I would like to take it down some trails to try it out. It a 2004 se. The only thing that isn't stock are the tires 31 10.5
I live close to abingdon and would like to find some local trails that I could take my son and wife down. So nothing to serious. Thanks

I'd try Forest Service roads around SoHo. They usually aren't too bad to get out on and get a feel for your rig.

SoHo. As in south holston? Where are they exactly? And can I get in trouble for being on them?

Yes as in South Holston. I'd check with the forest service but, they do have some roads cut in places. I've never had anything said to me but, I haven't been up that way in a couple of years. Get on 421 headed towards Mountain City, TN. It's about 5 miles from Observation Knob.

Ok I'll have to check them out next weekend. As long as I'm not doing anything else
