Well guys this ones really got me going through a loop should i get a used one of a dodge durango (i believe) try to find a new one, or rebuild it?

Doesn't hurt to upgrade to the Durango box. Might as well go new (reman) if you are going to do it :thumb: I just did this last week.

From what I read, rebuilding it isn't a for sure fix and that replacing the seal is a lot harder than replacing the whole box.

Yea new would be great might I ask where you got yours at?

I got my new stock one from Napa. They would have the Durango as well.

Just from my local napa...but they had to order it. Ran me about 150 +110 for a core charge which was returned after I took the old box back.

A five maybe lol? What do u consider a 10? My buddy and I probably had the whole swap done in about two hours. The most difficult part is probably getting the pitman arm off. Make sure to rent a puller. The box bolts right up like factory so there shouldnt be any modifications.

If your pitman comes off without a hassle, you can swap it in 15 minutes. It help to have a buddy hold it while you bolt it up, it gets heavy if you take too long...

I went to go start this project but i got to auto zone and they wanted like 500$ for the gear box assembly witch seem kinda $$$$$ is there any where I can order it online?

Is that with, or without the core charge? Either way that seems a little steep. Napa charged me 280 upfront...then gave me 120 back when I returned the core.

The box was actually cheaper from Napa for once. It was around 150...when everyone else in to town was more in the ballpark of 200.

I just replaced mine the other day. Bought a reman from NAPA. Cost was $144 + $55.60 for core, which I returned that same day and got core charge back then. My shop charged me $70 total to do the work. Mine was starting to leak pretty bad and steering got very loose. The swap made a big difference in sloppy steering!
