trektop NX frameless soft top

Does anybody have one of these? I need a top for my jeep since my back windshield broke...

Owen_TJ 07-16-2013 02:34 PM

I run one on mine and absolutely love it...i've had it for about 2 years now. I sold my two piece hardtop and picked this up and have zero regrets. I love the top and definitely recommend it.

I also have the two piece hard top... can you post pics of your soft top?

I love the look of your jeep, it says the front can flip back and it can also turn into a safari top to, anyone have those pics?

Westbrook 07-16-2013 03:22 PM

Love mine as well, tonnes of compliments from people since I've owned it. It's easier to use than the stock soft top and I prefer the safari top to being fully open, keeps the sun off of you.

Owen_TJ 07-16-2013 03:24 PM

Thanks, man...

the front and be flipped back and used as a sunrider and yes it also turns into a full on safari top...

I'm at work at the moment so i cant post pics (i only knew a post i had the above pics posted in) so i can post one later for you...i also have my sunrider flipped right now so i can snap a pic on my cell phone and post it as well.

Edit: I agree with westbrook...i very rarely will have my entire top off. I usually go doorless and windowless. That way if anything happens with the weather, i'm good to go with the roof on there. I also just flip the sunrider sometimes and its like having it fully topless but then takes less time or effort to put it all back on...just zip the windows in and call it good.

I'm home on lunch...here are a couple random pics

Here is with the sunrider flipped (took this about 10 minutes ago)

Love mine too. Live in South Florida and I get those mid afternoon showers..No problem flip the top and lock..

Only problem is that they are extremely tight was runnin with the 2 back windows only. Pulled over to install the rear window for that sudden thunder storm and could not get it on. Had about 1/2 inch gap from zipper to zipper...

Owen_TJ 07-16-2013 05:36 PM

Yeah...they're super tight...in most cases thats great so it doesnt flap all the time and isnt that loud for a soft top but then on the other had the windows can be a pain to put in when they're cold.

still...zero regrets with it

Spitse 07-16-2013 07:25 PM

The kit says no doors included. If I have the half doors with factory uppers, will that still work? For some reason I am having trouble understanding what I need to get or what I can use.
Rough day.

When you go safari, does your rear bar stay in place?
Mine flops around when I get a bit of speed. Has Besttop upgraded from the original aluminum bar?
(Thinking of riveting something to it so it'll stay centered)

Edit: p.s. this is the only issue I've had. Besttop I've ever owned.

I have and love it. Yes, it will work with soft uppers on half doors. Comes with windshield header door surrounds, tail gate bar and everything you need. I use it for a hard top alternative in the warmer months here in the midwest. Love it

When I go Safari I tighten up my back straps

Except for the stickers our Jeeps look a lot alike

I really like the new top had it since Jan/ or Feb

Neal5280 07-16-2013 10:28 PM

I just put mine on this afternoon, it was actually easier than what I have heard most people say... Just take your time, it took me about an hour to get it done. Like it so far, I'll go thru and readjust everything after it bakes in the sun for a few days. I did notice with the windows down I am getting a pretty loud flapping sound hopefully it will go away after everything is readjusted.
