Did a little tow hook accents today in this orange gloss. After this little tape mock up I'm 2 seconds away from doing it.

What do you guys honestly think?

phrak 07-16-2013 06:38 PM

The orange/blue thing really isn't my thing, but hey ride your own ride...

sunnykk 07-16-2013 06:53 PM

Why? Why?

Don't ruin it dude!!!

vmaek 07-16-2013 06:57 PM

I think I would like it in blue better.

pickupman2500 07-16-2013 06:57 PM

orange and blue???? i showed the old lady because i can combine colors for sh*t either and she said hell no.black silver gray even red but not orange my firend

pickupman2500 07-16-2013 06:58 PM

even do it in blue that would look sweet

ahsumtoy 07-16-2013 06:58 PM

No No No

Doesn't go with your Jeep. If you must paint them, use the same color of your Jeep IMO.

RacecarBMW 07-16-2013 07:01 PM

I think there is another member here that also did blue with orange tow hooks.

I personally don't like it, but its your Jeep and your choice :)

bc3_Jeep 07-16-2013 07:13 PM

I think you have WAY too much time on your hands.....

Moose5 07-16-2013 07:17 PM

Make your accens blue, the blue and orange is...odd

KBoB 07-16-2013 07:35 PM

If you dig it, go with it dude.

Years ago there was a CA bike tuner that built some radical BMW K1200's in those colors. Probably still a few pic's around the web?

terrabit 07-16-2013 07:36 PM

I like turtles.

KBoB 07-16-2013 07:38 PM

Also, I would trim that rear pinch seam STAT!

wrangler49009 07-16-2013 07:39 PM

It's a unique color contrast I'll give you that. I'm more of a conservative person so I like the look you had before. But like others said the Jeep represents you and there is no ugly Jeep on the road!

I'm a unique kinda person. I just don't wanna make it look cheap. Know what I mean.

Thanks for all your guy's input. Much appreciated. Keep it coming. I'll prolly end up doing them tomorrow if I do at all.

ffrogg 07-16-2013 08:47 PM

I like man but its your jeep man

jp2611 07-16-2013 08:52 PM

ESA31.8T 07-16-2013 09:07 PM

My thought is NO WAY - I really don't like that look at all.

Rogerg 07-16-2013 09:20 PM

Dont fall off the edge fellow Jeeper.

TRAUMAhead 07-16-2013 09:53 PM

On the body it would look probably look cool. Maybe an orange stripe. Maybe in the vein of boss mustang stripe. That might look cool. The pine stripe on the wheel doesn't look good at all to me, but it's yours. maybe in person it rocks. Pictures don't tell the whole story.

tabber02 07-16-2013 10:12 PM

if you like it... go for it :whistling: but yeah... you might want to take a sawsall to that pinch seam soon. don't want to bounce that off your tire too many times... :nonono:

ohioviper 07-16-2013 10:22 PM

I like it but my taste is different than most. I drive a Gecko .

donmeca2020 07-16-2013 10:47 PM

I personally think blue and orange go together very well....

HillbillyJeeper 07-16-2013 10:53 PM

Hell yea!!! Whatever strokes your motor bro! Go for it!

Looks like sh!+ tho.

hexarctic 07-16-2013 10:55 PM

Wont the body just flap and shit after cutting that seam? Would just bending it up work better. Buddy of mine said to just bend it upwards out of the way. Ive never done it so i dont know lol

no not at all. I'll go snap a picture of my pinch seam trim. been done for a while. :thumb:

edit: crappy picture with my iPad. after you cut, just make sure you throw some paint on it to keep rust away. all that nonsense about job weld, sealing foam, or anything else... is okay but not necessary

google jk pinch seam trim. you'll find all the information you need :D
