Need a good jack for stock 95 wrangler

Hello Fellow Jeepers,

Like the title says I need a good jack for my 95 wrangler to keep with me in the jeep. I have a floor jack at home but im looking for something smaller to take with me when I take out the jeep. I was looking at this Bottle jack but I would like your opinions on what would be good to get. I don't go offroading so hi lift is out of the question plus I wouldn't wanna take a risk trying to work one. any advice would be greatly appreciated. just to change tires nothing more.

I think this would work fine for just tires and little things like that.

if there is anything better that you would recommend I would really appreciate it, also the reviews for the bottle jack is making me nervous about buying it due to leakage.

Go to your local pick a part and find one in a wrecked jeep. If you are lucky and get a YJ it will come with the mounting bracket. If not check the other jeeps for one that will work. Usually these can be had for less than $10.

Bottle jack is perfect. Safe and easy to store. I never heard of one leaking

Check tractor supply or harbor freight for a 2 to 3 ton floor jack. Just make sure it fully extends high enough to pick up the frame so measure. If you ever lift that thing it will become more important. But you can get one for less tahn $50 sometimes at the parts chains they sell them in a set with two jack stands cheap. Sales happen like Fathers day etc. Look for the flyers or on line.

18-19" should be plenty. 25" bottle jack might start to get unstable.

Bottle jacks only leak if someone leaves them on their side or upside down. Dumb, dumb dumb......... Dumb! Lol.

That will work good, I use a 12ton craftsman jack that reaches just shy of 19". It gets my big 37's off the ground with no blocks. For getting the whole front end or rear off the ground I use a cherry picker ram as a big bottle jack. My bumpers have special mounts welded on for use of this jack. Ive had horrible luck with stock leaf springs. This came in real handy for changing them out.

I have and have used that exact jack. Works fine, stores well. Go for it.

BTW, have not had any luck with stock jacks. They're all much harder to work than the bottle jacks. YMMV.

thanks guys now after I bought the jack 2 of the lug nuts got stripped now I gotta find a way to remove em without the cover on them since they were shitty oem lugs. A Jeeper work is never done lol
