Lifted rigs in CT

So...the hunt for a trail rig continues.....and I have found a real beauty, but it is VERY high, on a Rubicon Express long arm kit, in addition to a three inch body lift. Everything I have read, states that anything over a two inch body lift is not advisable...and as the Jeep sits now (it is a '98 TJ), it is way up there. What has anyone's experience been with a high lift Jeep or other vehicle for that matter in the great state of CT? Are such rigs absolute ticket magnets, or what? Any input would be appreciated.

Not sure about a ticket magnet, but if the body lift scares you, you can always remove it. Just make sure you can still clear the tires after lowering the body down.

Yeah the body lift in itself wouldn't be enough to steer me away from purchasing. Just make sure that with it off, the jeep will still be in good working order. Tall body lifts may require extended brake lines, fuel filler hoses, modified steering, etc etc. Things like that can make it a real pain for you.

x2 on toolin around's point, but chances are with a long arm kit, it's probably already high enough to clear the tires, but you have to be sure.

You could always install a smaller size body lift as well. They're relatively cheap and if you're taking one of already it wouldn't be that hard to swap out a smaller one.

I've seen that one as well. It's seen better days let's leave it at that.
