Baton Rouge jeepers

Who's in the Baton Rouge area? Where do you guys jeep?

cmaggi2 08-30-2013 06:51 PM

I'm in Prairieville. Closest nice parks are in Easleyville and Sicily Island. NOLA Red Creek is basically a mud pit with level 1 trails.

Welcome! Red Creek NOLA is good for beginners when it's dry. I may be going soon for a day trip. Join a local club. LA 4x4 is closest in BR. AWOL is a club in NOLA and there are a couple more that are slipping my mind. All plan monthly trips to my knowledge.

Only place I've been so far is Sicily Island. It's a little far but it's worth it.

How many guys wheel a 4 banger? I'm a out to get my first jeep and just trying to gather as much info as possible. My son will eventually be driving it and not looking to do any hardcore off roading

I'm also not far from Baton Rouge. Just got back in a jeep about a week ago and I'll be looking to do some light to moderate wheeling if I get the opportunity. The South Louisiana Jeep Association is mostly around Houma and they appear to be very active. LA 4x4 is active in Baton Rouge. I didn't do any wheeling with my old jeep (97 TJ) but I hope to start doing some with my new '15 Willys. Welcome aboard!

I love your user name. BRAJA is a good start. Louisiana 4x4 also sponsors monthly trail rides. If you ever need any help, I work at 4 Wheel Parts on Airline.
