I have 285/70 Nittos on the stock Rubicon wheels (no spacers) and have no clearance problems, front or back, including full lock turn at the sway bars.
We had a big discussion on this a while back and one of the participants (stock wheels with 285/70 Duratracks) did have a slight sway bar rub on one side (but not the other) at full lock. Im my opinion that's a track bar adjustment issue.
If you go with aftermarket wheels with the standard 4.5" back space, then you move the wheels outboard by 2 inches, and while increasing your inside clearances, you place the tire tread under the fender lip, reducing your clearance there.
I had that setup on a previous JK and I did have very slight contact with the lip under a full "to the stops" compression in the rear. Very slight, but enough to know I did it. That could be eliminated with no more than a half inch spacer on the springs.
So, the answer is... yes you should be able to use those tires without any problems that can't be very easily fixed.

Wonder if the extra ".5" height of the 10th Anniv would help? I've been pondering the same tire switch and hope that my extra ride height will help.

It's really not a height issue, the extra width can rub inside under extreme articulation and with the fender lip under heavy compression. That said I put 285/70/17 duratracs on a 5" backspace and over the road there's no issue. Just to be safe, I am installing a teraflex leveling ( coil ) kit this week for a little more clearance up front. It is probably a good idea to include a basic lift and/or spacers in your upgrade budget.
Do it right...or do it twice.
