Wiring diagram for tail, turn, and marker lights on 2006 TJ
 
I was hoping to get a schematic of the outside lights on my TJ. Want to try to get front marker lights on when towing behind my Motorhome at night

There is a black/yellow wire that comes from the headlight switch and feeds the front parking lights and front side marker lights, but you would want either a switch or a diode in that line in case someone turned on the headlights with your tow umbilical cord hooked up.

I was looking under the front fender well. There is an unused 2 pin connector between the marker light and where the wire loom goes through the fender. Can anyone tell me what that connector is?

2006 TJ Fender Connector???
 
There is a connector between the front marker lights and where the loom goes through the fender. Nothing is plugged into it. Does anyone know what the connector is for? There is also another on the other side.

I flat tow my Jeep. What would happen if I used a male/female adapter to attach the Jeeps trailer wire to the tow vehicle? Hooking the towed vehicles output to the towing vehicles output only the jeep would be off. Its a 4 wire one. Don't want to hijack a thread but it seems relevant if it would work.

You need either a switching mechanism (Switch and/or relays) or diodes to keep the power in your RV separate from power in your towed. Most use diodes and you can purchase ready made harnesses for that. I just use a three pole double throw 20 amp toggle switch. Another way some people who tow Wranglers do it, is to install another lamp holder in each tail light housing that is only wired to the plug for the RV.

I've never had a vehicle that comes apart so easily. To find the black/yellow wire where is the best place to find it? It doesn't seem to be in the wiring harness coming back toward the fire wall from the marker lights??? If I take the 2 screws from the panel below the steering column, would that be a good place to find the wire coming off the lights.

I looked up the 2006 on the internet the other day and I believe it goes directly from the headlamp switch to the parking and sidemarker lights so you should be able to find it in the steering column since that is where your headlight switch is. (mines on the dash in my 99) it is probably wrapped in a harness with the other wires and should go through the firewall there somewhere. The only FSM I have is for my 99. Maybe someone out there with a 2006 FSM could confirm exactly where it is.
