Skyjacker 3.5" or Teraflex 2.5"

I've narrowed it down to Skyjacker's 3.5" sport lift with the Hydro shocks or Teraflex's 2.5" lift without shocks. That means I would need to find some to go with it as I think using my stock ones wouldn't work very well. The Teraflex kit is $50 more WITHOUT the shocks.

I'm honestly fine with either height and have heard decent things about Skyjacker, just that they are expensive. In this case the opposite is proving to be true. I have heard great great things about Teraflex which is why i'm willing to go with that kit and the right shocks even if I pay a little more. I just don't want to pass up a decent price for the Skyjacker kit if that is in fact a decent price. I come to you guys because i'm not really sure. First lift.. want to do it right, at a decent price :thumb:

Also, I did watch the Teraflex video. GREAT video. Which is why that spring kit is one of my final choices!

Teraflex

Teraflex.
3.5" is pushing it if not done correctly.
Plus Teraflex is a much better company.

Any suggestions on shocks? They have a kit that comes with the VSS twin tube. Wondering if there are any just as good at a better price..

Always a good idea to be $$$ conscious but with a lift it's more important to get whats necessary over price. How high you want to go equals whats necessary. Regarding the two kits mentioned, TF sells complete kits for each height and are well reviewed/used. In addition, Rock Krawler is also a great choice.

2.5" w/ Rancho 9000 shocks is a very popular combo. If you hold out a bit, Rancho is having their 2nd rebate this year in October.

Decided Teraflex 2.5 and Rancho 7000s. Has anyone worked with Rancho through the forum as far as getting the rebate hookup?

jsonsanders 08-31-2013 06:35 AM

9000s****

kjeeper10 08-31-2013 06:55 AM

Both are great shocks :whistling:
Our Rancho guy is Matt but he can only help with any questions. Contact any vender for their shocks. Rancho's rebate is around the corner. In the past its been $100 off the 9000's and $75 off the 7000's.

For 2.5 you are going to want 29Xl front and 30xl rear on the 9000's :thumb:

I'm assuming it's the shocks they have listed for a 2" lift?

jsonsanders 08-31-2013 10:04 AM

RS999326 RS999330

Yes?

jsonsanders 08-31-2013 10:07 AM
