First time Jeep Wrangler Owner in Las Vegas

Hello Everybody,

I ordered my 2014 Jeep Unlimited Black Rubicon on 7/15, It's in the final inspection on VOTs and on Jeep Status JB Sent to body vendor . delivery date was supposed to be 8/21/13 per dealer. Any ideas when it's coming?

Once I get it, would love to meet up with fellow Vegas jeep owners to help me with after market equipment information and ultimately start participating in weekend trials.

I haven't been excited for a car in a while. Thanks

Jon

Welcome to the forum and the lifelong Jeep addiction!!!

Hang out here we are a loose group who enjoys wheeling on weekends and nothing to crazy we always drive them home.

You will be surprised at how many local trails we have and some great scenery and history.

You will be a nervous wreck waiting on your new rig but it is worth it!!

Thanks 4 the welcome.. I'm already addicted to checking the jeep updates every couple of hours- knowing very well that it changes daily, hoping I get a delivery date. Anyways, Looking forward to meeting up on the trails.

Welcome, take your time with aftermarket changes. Your rubi can do a lot stock. Just enjoy some trails then decide what you need/want. That will help you buy the right part the first time.

Welcome to the group. There are a lot of great people on here and we always have fun. Enjoy your new ride (when you get it) and we'll see you on the trail.

Welcome to the madness and Wallet killing world of the Jeep lol. Only mod I say is an absolute necessity is a CB. I know a guy who wont rip you off and does a great install. He has done a few of the guys here.

gregaf3 08-24-2013 10:57 AM

I fully agree with the CB and wheel it for a while to decide what you need. Also the factory KM1's throw rocks like crazy, so hit up a tint shop and get some clear bra material wrapped around your door hinges. They look like crap once they get covered with rock chips.

It has only been a year? Seems longer than that.

As you can see from all the responses, the Vegas thread is a pretty cordial group of Jeepers. Good Luck with your patience while you wait for the Jeep to ship or show up!

Congratulations and Welcome!

:happyyes: You kids are a long way from my place, but I would love to make a trip over your way one of these days. Many years ago, my wife and I took a trail that started out by a prison before going over the mountain and ending up in Pharump (sp?). Since then have done countless black diamond trails in the San Bernardino Mountains. Would like to get a taste of the more challenging trails around Vegas. Any suggestions?

Wheeler Pass is the trail that starts at Cold Creek by the Prisons. Rocky Gap is also a great trail to take.

Post a message in the Nevada Trail when your heading this way, I am sure we can get a small group together.

I believe one of the hardest trails in the area is called Devils peak, Heard some pretty crazy stories and have never done it myself but you might want to check it out.
