Good Deal? 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Sport Utility 4D

I am very new when it comes to purchasing a wrangler but, I am currently looking to buy my first jeep. I've been trying to shop around and do some homework before I pick which one to buy. I found the following deal and would like to seek any advise that the jeep community has to offer. Is this a good deal or bad deal, why, etc?

Heres the specs:

They are selling the jeep because they currently own 4 cars and they are in the military. Moving makes it very hard to have 4 and they don't want a car payment any more. They stated that the vehicle has NO DENTS, has not been off-road, upgraded tinted windows, leather wrap steering wheel, and cruise, interior is awesome. The jeep has been extremely well maintained and in person you could see that. They have kept all detailed data of all scheduled work that was to be completed. The jeep is essentially perfect per their information. It has about 16,000 miles on it and they are selling it for 15,100. What do you guys think?

According to Kelly Blue book (Virginia)
"Excellent" Condition $18700
and "Fair" at about $16300

Sounds good to me, but ya still havd to put your butt in the seat and go for a ride.... eventhough it may look perfect, something can still be hiding... I would also take it to a mechanic you trust for a once over...

If anything is wrong with it the 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty should take care of it. But keep in mind you won't get a drive train warranty after the bumper to bumper expires, it's non-transferable for the '08 models.

is it 2wd or 4wd? If it is the 4wd that is a deal.

This is not entirely true as warrenties do not cover wear items. Although the car only has a low amount of miles on it, things might have been warn out.

Then again, the dealer just might want to get it off their lot and are giving ridiculous deals. Like it was said above, take it for a good test drive and pick and pull everything in the car.

with 16k miles, not much can be wrong with it, but you have to drive it to know....

sounds good though

Also be sure to take a look at the bottom of it. If it has truly never been off road you shouldn't find dented or scraped up skidplates or dried mud and such.

Good question,, if 2wd that is only a fair deal. Although personally you couldn't sell me a 2wd Jeep at any price.
