Fuel filter

Anyone know where to find the fuel filter on an 88 YJ?

2.5? Driver side inner frame right before the front tire. There should be a shield underneath it. 4.2, I dunno

Yea I got the 4.2 I looked today and couldn't find it

I think you have 2. I near the carb.

I believe on an early 88 4.2 it's attached to the frame rail in front of the left rear tire. I know for 89 it was changed to directly in front of the carb. Could also be for late 88's.

Mine is on front of the carb

Basics, got fuel, air and spark????

Couple of pics to get you started. Read your plugs they tell a story, run a compression test no sense doing all kinds of things if there is abasic problem. Check your parts, plugs, rotor, cap, wires and vacuum lines are all good.

Reinstall all and try to confirm you have fuel and spark.

I did the exact same thing on my 4.2, it's because it has two inlets on one side and I had them backwards. I felt like a idiot
