So I was driving in town today and heard some noise when I stopped, didn't think anything of it so I started going again and everything was shaking like crazy, limped home to find this.

Looks like the driveshaft is damaged, maybe it's just the pic

Your right that could have been real ugly. My po used the wrong rear joint the wrong bolts, too much t case drop and too short of a driveshaft.
It toreup the yoke, driveshaft t case output shaft and extension housing. Look at all of those closely before you put it back together.

So does anyone know what ujoint to use for the cv style driveshaft:

Mowrangler 08-27-2013 08:30 PM

Take what is left of what you have to a driveshaft shop or NAPA and have them match it up. I cant tell by looking at the pics what you have. It could have been built with a couple different joints. 1330 and 1310 joints are common but who knows what the builder used ?

Mowrangler 08-27-2013 08:33 PM

The rear joint on mine is a hybred 1330/1310 joint. But it is hard to tell by the pics.

You are lucky that thing didn't decide to come loose while you were going at a high rate of speed it could have ben ugly.

1330 for 95 YJ, 1310 for others are what is on the yoke. Odds are you just need a 1310 ujoint. And Yeah, cut down those UBolt ends. Holy crap!
