Pittsburgh Area Check-in !!!

Anyone from the Pittsburgh area around? Post up where you are and where you like to wheel!

nater344 02-26-2009 10:08 AM

I live in Franklin, PA and do most of my off-roading on the old RR tracks and on my 400 acres in Brookville. When I visit my parents I run on my best friends 2000 acres....but that is only a few times a year.

Heff733 04-03-2009 06:02 PM

u know of any good places near brookville? i`m only 15 miles from there!

kaycee83 04-21-2009 02:21 PM

JayKay 04-22-2009 08:26 PM

I've had my Wrangler for only three weeks, but sure would like to find out places to off-road in southwestern PA area.

Canonsburg

I'm in Canonsburg but I ride the trails in Cook's Forest. Not much of a challenge but you wouldn't want to try it with a low riding machine.

you ever been out off rt 18 near the pike? if you take 18 from al's corner market towards the pike theres a road that cuts to the rt. and theres some trails back there, saw a few wranglers headed out of there once??? don't know if it's legal or not

Jeepn13 01-05-2010 01:36 PM

I live out near the Airport in Robinson. Recently found some great trails right at the airport. Not on airport property, but damn near close enough. Has some steep hills and then it picks up and runs the power lines for a bit. If anyone is interested shoot me a message and we'll go sometime!

I'm in the Imperial/ Oakdale area at least once a month. I live in Ohio, but would love some PA trails.

I found 1 near the airport on Maclairen. I haven't had the chance yet to check it out.

dbhaffey 07-07-2010 01:00 PM

I'm on Mt Washington (pittsburgh) and I cruise Grandview Avenue LOL. Not sure if she will see mud but will definitely see snow.

Sf_Kilo 07-07-2010 01:18 PM

I'm in Bethel Park south hills area......
I can't find any trails to save my life......
Anyone know of any in the south hills?????
I know the "Dumps" over in library/south park are still there but I have been up there on a dirt bike and I would stay away unless you are a well equipped rig. Seen my fair share of stuck, rolled, and destroyed vehicles up there.....

Looking for some trail riding not crawling and such.....
Not sure there is any.....

GroundHawg 07-07-2010 02:52 PM

I don't know where, but there's something cool near green tree. I saw a YJ there and the mud on it was no lie, at least 2" thick on the mirrors

BetsyM59 07-26-2010 11:46 AM

I live in Whitaker, near Kennywood. Brand new Wrangler owner and would love to know where to go for fun with Jeeps!!
