Last Summer I had my dealer replace my fuel sending unit due to a recall. Before replacing the fuel sending unit, my guage would only go up to 3/4 of a tank. After the unit was replaced, the guage worked for the first tank of gas and on the second fill up, back to reading 3/4 of a tank. I called the dealer and they stated that they did replace the fuel sending unit and they would charge me $65 an hour to diagnos my problem. Needless to say I didn't take it back in.
I currently have the tank off for another project. Any ideas of what my problem may be or what to check?
Thanks in advance!

was there any kind of warranty of the recall repair that they did?

They said that if they found that they made a mistake or the fuel sending unit was bad that they wouldn't charge me, but if it was something else, they would charge me for the time to diagnose the problem. I have alreally had the tank off, check all the conections out and everything look good to my untrained eye. I would rather not find out later that it was something simple that I could have done in my garage, after paying the garage. That's why I am picking everyone's brain on the forum.

when my low fuel light comes on, i have approximately 5 gallons left in the tank:confused:
19 gallon tank, most it has ever taken me to fill up was 14 gallons.

when my low fuel light comes on at a 1/4 tank i drive for about another mile or so and the stick is sitting on empty.
