I would like help in understanding the pros and cons of the BW flat feeders versus the Genright flat fender combination. Pls help in this Decision, both seem to offer added clearance. Thx

clull05rubi 09-27-2013 08:28 PM

its not a negative opinion at all. and i would rather see this info in a thread if i was considering a purchase.

clull05rubi 09-27-2013 10:50 PM

my favorite thing about tube fenders is the added protection it gives ur jeep. if ur in a tight spot u can lean on the fenders pretty hard without any worry other then scratching the paint. comes in handy sometimes too being able 2 stand on ur fenders.

Metal Tube fender are built and designed in areas that do not have salt and other metal eating products. There are extreme pockets for salt and road grime to sit in. leaning on a metal fender puts pressure into the thin factory inner fender. The Bushwackers install nice. Provide good coverage and include an outer turn signal which most states require and most steel fenders are not including.

clull05rubi 10-01-2013 05:48 AM

Mine don't put any pressure on the inner fender. it comes with a whole new inner fender kit but thats besides the point. The fender doesn't mount to the inner fender the inner fender mounts to the outter which mounts to the firewall and front clip. I've pushed on my fenders pretty hard quite a few times(hard enuf to crack or smash a plastic fender) and never came away with any damage yet. As far as pockets to hold salt and grime, even the stock fenders hold a lot of that crap too. Its called paint. And as far as turn signals u can buy a turn/led marker set for 50 bux from gen right, prob even less on ebay. If u wheel serious trails and don't want 2 have ur fender ripped off, get tubes. These r OK for mild or mud trails but if u wanna get serious these aren't the best option

clull05rubi 10-01-2013 05:49 AM

Or if ur really worried about salt and grime go aluminum tube fenders. Here in az its not an issue so i run steeli
