what is normal?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i was just wondering how well the heat works in any other tj, my heat barelyy even blows out. the only was to feel the heat is to pt your hand directly on the vent... any help would be appreciated

my heat cranks, in fact if i leave it on high it is warm enough to get uncomfortable and i live in ct, it was 9 degrees going to work this morning.

desrosiersj23 03-04-2009 08:46 PM

so do you have any clue wat might be causing this?

jgano23 03-04-2009 08:48 PM

check for leaks in the hose.

peddlerofpunk 03-04-2009 08:49 PM

could be any number of things i can think of, heater core, blower is bad, bad controls even, i am new to the jeep thing, so i dont know em that well yet. your best bet is to get a haynes manual and start there, i need one myself...

Hmm

When you select different fan speeds does the it respond or just stay the same. If it stays the same could be a bad resistor.

Does the temp. on your gauge read what it should?

desrosiersj23 03-04-2009 09:21 PM

yes the motor changes speeds

desrosiersj23 03-04-2009 09:21 PM

and yes the temp gauge read perfect

desrosiersj23 03-04-2009 09:22 PM

im new to the whole jeep thing too this is my first wrangler ive always had grand cherokee's thats why im asking for help

desrosiersj23 03-04-2009 09:25 PM

to put it simply the heat is there its just not blowing out, basicly what i think is happening is the blower motor isnt doing its job because the heat comes out it just isnt being pushed out enough, because you can feel the warm air but only when your hand is on the vent

Damper door (I think that is what it is called) maybe my damper door always closes. Makes a lot of noise but no air comes out.
