ive got a 00 wrangler sport.
the stock glove box has got a lock on it. Now when its not locked i can open it with one finger(meaning easy to open) however when i lock it i pull the handle and it opens right up. i can feel it stick a little but as soon as i use more muscle than a two year old it opens right up. is there anything i can do to make it work better or should i just get an after market one?

buy aftermarket for real security

x2, even if you can "fix" your stock glove box, you won't get any real security out of it. Might keep the local 10 year old from rifling thru your stuff when it's locked. But get a tuffy or something similar if you want to keep stuff in there and out of the hands of the less desirable portions of our society.

Agreed! Just installed mine today and it was worth every cent!
Which one did you go with? I didnt see the need getting the full console or the one with the slot for the radio. Just grabbed the rear lock box. Did you get one of the last few on clearence through crutchfield?

No, I got mine on sale from 4wp right after christmas. Just haven't had a chance to put it in yet.
I got the "no radio" sub woofer version. Replaces my entire unit from the firewall to back of the seats.
