RIPP Superchargers 2012 3.6L Supercharger Release SALE!!!

After 22 months of R&D and 6 months of world wide BETA testing - we can confidently say our calibrations are ready for public release! RIPP has put more time and effort into the the Pentastar's calibration logic than any other manufacturer on the market and we are happy to say its our best system yet!

Releasing the Pentastar kit is a huge accomplishment for RIPP, in fact the reason there is a Pentastar program through Diablosport is greatly due to the efforts RIPP and Diablo invested into the Pentastar's ECU. No other manufacturer has as much experience with the GPAK4 computer found in the Pentastar line of vehicles, and we can safely say RIPP is the best at it. We have tested in a multitude of conditions from climate to altitude with various chassis combinations. This real world testing is the reason RIPP is the most reliable and cost effective way to gain 130 rear wheel HP and 110 rear wheel trq with one modification. That's right, over 325 rear wheel HP (up from just 180) on 37in tires - and 310ft/lbs of trq. This is measured at the REAR WHEELS, with automatic transmission on 37in tires ....

RIPP has never and will never play games with its clientele - our goal is to have the best products, for what we consider the best clients.... PERIOD!

Does the tuning remove the top speed limiter?

Thegame 09-06-2013 07:34 PM

I just dropped my 2012 off to have this kit installed along with a dyomax catback and an axle protection kit. I cannot wait to get it back!! Also the guys at ripp have been great to deal with and very helpful.

There's conflicting info. In the post it implies this is available for 2012-2013.

RIPP may want to clarify that message.

Saving my pennies... this is on the mods list!!!! hopefully in 6 months this will be a reality!

traitor08 09-07-2013 12:48 PM

Is this compatible with the 13's. Some parts say 2013, some say 2012 and no mention of 13.

The stock 3.6L already makes 285 hp. This bolt-on says it boosts it to 325 hp, an increase of 40 hp, not 130. What's up with that?

The SAE eating is 285 horsepower at the crank. Drivetrain loss, especially on a vehicle like a jeep, significantly lowers that number.

pilotmikeca 09-07-2013 01:05 PM

RIPPMODS, are you attempting to get this CARB Legal, like the 3.8 Supercharger?

I second this question. I used to have a lancer with various mods that weren't carb legal, and regardless of how awesome this is (which it is), I just can't go down that path again. So any plans to do so?

lando76 09-07-2013 01:29 PM

Cmon Roadijeff, google is your friend!

285- crank
189- whp

Ripp- adds 130 whp

Exactly. 400+ horsepower wrangler. :awesome:

JeepTom 09-07-2013 05:02 PM

Does this work on the '14s?

Lowerumble 09-07-2013 05:03 PM

So if you buy it while it is on sale, you are actually SAVING money right? That is what my wife tells me all the time....

Lmao my wife tells me this also but somehow it usually only ends up working on crap I definitely do not want.

bartlanz 09-08-2013 12:37 PM

I too want to Confirm that this is for the 2013's, I have been waiting with baited breath for this for a long time!!!

xcoaste 09-08-2013 12:41 PM

I spoke with some guys from Ripp about 2 months ago, and from what I gathered '12 and '13 are not the same due to something with the computer programing. I would only assume the '13 and '14 are not going to work with this unit, but until they respond to this thread I would keep waiting.

Lowerumble 09-08-2013 05:11 PM

Well, I think that this only applies to the 2012s right now. The site still shows 2013s "coming in fall"... well football is on, so that is fall for me! Hopefully the 2013 will be soon and with sale pricing, hint, hint...

The 285hp is crank horsepower, meaning, that is the power at the crank when the engine is sitting on a spit in a dyno room. Once installed, it must spin transmission shafts, transfer case shafts, axles, driveshafts, etc, which in the wrangler, are made of a blend on granite and lead, your actual power on the ground (commonly referred to as wheel horsepower or horsepower at the wheels) becomes 180. That means, the Wrangler has to "waste" 105 horsepower just to spin all of the above. Having the advertised 325 WHEEL horsepower means that the motor is now producing (taking into account the same drivetrain loss) a colossal 445 crank horsepower, another words, more power than ANY Chrysler product in production this side of the viper.

It will work on 2013, we have it tested and running on BETA vehicles.

We expect to start the CARB process early 2014, we should have it the certification process completed by fall 2014, plenty of time before the mandated smog test.

So, if I purchase now, would I get the correct documentation/decal when the system is approved?
thanks, Mike

What is the likelyhood of getting the 13's CARB approved? Sorry to be naive as I dont know how that process works. Would be a dissapointment to spend that $ to find it doesnt "pass".

We are going to start the CARB Cert. process in the beginning of 2014 with anticipation that it will be done by fall 2014. More than enough time before your required smog test.

If I were to buy one of these, will you install it for free

positrak 09-10-2013 06:46 PM

Coincides with Magnuson / AEV's intended launch October 2013. Pretty clear now it's all related to Diabolo's tunes. Which I have installed right now. Been on RIPP's short list since November 2012 for claimed launch 2 months later. For a 2012. I'm now on a 2013.

The wait has always involved the tool/tuner that can upload the calibrations to the ECU. These systems are now available!
