Does Teraflex Perf Leveling Kit come with quick discos?

Anyone know if the sway bar links that come with the Teraflex performance leveling kit are quick disconnect?

For ref: Teraflex 1351500 - TeraFlex 1.5" Performance Leveling Kit for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

ESP 09-08-2013 07:22 PM

No.

Only coils front/rear and longer rear sway links.

Thanks.

It does not come with them, however, it does come with new longer links for up front. Teraflex makes a set of parts that runs about $50 which will convert those new links into quick disconnects, so you can make it have disconnects pretty easily.

actually they are the front sway bars included with the kit but they are too long for the fronts and actually about 1/2" shorter then the stock rear sway bars.

They sway bars in the performance leveler kit are too long unless they gave me the wrong ones. I have JKS disconnects which work great as they are adjustable. the ones that come in the kit hike the sway bar up way beyond level. There is a guy on the jeepforum that sells the jks for a very good price ~115 or so.

aren't you supposed to put the new ones on the back, and take the oem back ones and put them on the front?

No the ones in the kit are shorter then the stock rear ones. The instructions from teraflex clearly state the ones supplied in the kit are for the front and the stock rear ones are not changed. I think people are getting various kits confused as there are some kits that you do swap the rear ones to the fronts but not on this one..

hmm, the front ones with my leveling kit were fine lengthwise, interesting.

I think most are thinking of the 2.5s where you move the rears to the front. First I've heard of it being different for the 1.5 kits.

take a photo and post it of your sway bar angle. I am curious if they sent me the wrong ones. The ones that came in my kit force the sway bar up so it is not level (parallel to the ground) which it is supposed to be.
with the adjustable jks my sway bar is perfectly level. You can see how much longer the tf one is compared to the stock one and how much longer it is then the properly set jks.

If you look at my above post you can see the one that TF sent with the 1.5 kit is about an inch shorter then the stock rear links. I did not pull one off for photo sake but I measured it because I originally thought that might be the case. I reread the instructions and it says they include front sway bar links but mine were too long.

Did they send you the wrong ones?

ah that is why I would like to see a photo of the other posters. TF says they are the right ones but as you can see they are clearly too long for a 2" lift (actual 1.75") TF was great about answering questions before I ordered the lift but after I got it and complained they are no longer helpful. So it would be great to see what other peoples links look like even tho I won't use them because the I have JKS'

My TF performance leveling kit 1.5" for a 2014 JKUsport 4 door should be coming in today. I'll take some pictures of the links and post them up if the kit came in.

jcrawler93 09-10-2013 12:47 PM

no

KP50 09-10-2013 03:14 PM

Even the TF spacer leveling kit comes with the longer front links, terraflex has those links listed for 0-3" lifts. The sway bar is above level but I dont think it will hurt anything, below level is when it can over-center and cause problems.

Just a heads up when you install it you might want to add a 1/2-3/4" spacer to the rear right off the bat. Mine started off at 1" but it has already settled to 1/2" in less then the month I have had it installed. I have stock bumpers and an 82 lb spare so no way it should be squatting already.

I spoke to Doug at Teraflex and he stated the longer links were supplied to prevent the over-rotation of your swaybar at full droop. If your swaybar ends up pointing down instead of back it would be bad for your front end. It is the lesser of two evils.
