Saint101 03-29-2009 03:36 PM

I got that. There is not 05-02 codes

Perhaps you did it wrong.

Auto parts stores (Auto Zone, Advanced Auto...) will lend you a code scanner, just hand them your drivers license. This will Clear the code too, so you can attack what you think is the culprit then see if light comes back on.

(check ur gas cap)

My check engine light is on to and just went out and did the test and got P1494 on the last time you turn the key on keep it on and it will tell you the P code

Saint101 03-29-2009 05:23 PM

I think you may be right on that one.

slf41002 03-29-2009 07:16 PM

Does it have any ill effects???? If it is just the CEL and no symptoms it normally is something to do with emissions.Gas cap not tight enough, faulty O2 sensor or something to that nature.

Mines been off and on for two years with no ill effects. If it comes on and is blinking then you have a problem. Beyond that it prob is something to do with emissions as stated above.
