i dont know much about ball joints im new to all of this can
somebody explain this to me. thanks for your help.
At the beginning of the tj technical forum there should be a sticky article on death wobble. It will walk you through what to check.
What Dare2BSquare is talking about is felt through the steering wheel. it is a jerking back and forth and after a lift is installed can be a problem. Is this what you are getting? or are you talking about a bad vibration? If you did a 4" lift and you still have a slip yoke this can cause a vibration problem. The rear drive shaft is too short and a lift changes the angle past what the U-joints and slip yoke are "comfortable" handling. What you need then (and it's advisable to get) Is a Slip Yoke Eliminator kit. This gives you a longer drive shaft and (as the name says) eliminates the slip yoke.
Hope this helps,
No........what Dare2BSquare is trying to say is.........that we have a fantastic link, to help alleviate the problems of "Death Wobble". It is a sticky, at the beginning of the TJ technical section, as well as every other Jeep technical section. If after going through all the steps to get rid of this problem, you still have a problem, let us know, and we will be more than happy to help you. This helps cut down on the redundancy of our threads.
However if you are confused about what you are reading in the sticky please feel freed to ask any question you have to the general forum. We will try to help you in any way we can.
