Manual for the 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

I need a service manual for my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I went to CarQuest and they didn't have any Chilton manuals for the TJ, only the YJ. They have a Haynes manual called "Jeep Wrangler Haynes Repair Manual Covering all Jeep wrangler models 4-cyl & 6-cyl, 4WD (1987 thru 2003)", but it's not clear whether it covers the Rubicon. Since this is the first year they made the Rubicon, I don't want to buy the manual until I'm sure, since once I open the seal I have to buy it. Does anyone have this manual or a suggestion on what to get?

I wouldn't waste any $$$ on Chilton's or Hayne's manuals. They try to cover too many Jeep models and model years and as such, don't cover any particular models or model years that thoroughly. They give too many generic statements like "should look like this" instead of what it actually looks like for your exact model and model year.

You'll be money ahead by getting the official Factory Service Manual for your 2003, it'll cost more ($80 or so) but it'll pay for itself time and time again. You can often find them on eBay but be aware that some are just CD-ROMS or DVDs, not the actual printed manual that is far easier to use when out in the garage. Look around, you can find the printed versions on eBay (or Amazon.com too sometimes) pretty easily.

Index of /allmanuals/Jeep/TJ

click on the directory for your year of TJ and save the pdf files to your computer.

and if you prefer paper you can always print them out as many times as you want and put them in a 3 ring binder.

Thanks! Is this the same manual I would get if I got one from the dealer? I went to 2 dealers, one said he can get either a CD version or a printed manual for $80+, another said he could only get the CD version.

Any chance of you sending me a PM with the 2003 TJ service manual or just the portion dealing with the electrical wiring diagrams, fuses, relays, switches etc.

I purchased the Chilton manual from the local Pep boys and it was very sketchy with respect to any valuable data on my 2003 Wrangler. the wiring diagrams were all generic - nothing specific to 03.
I tried using the link on your reply but it resulted in a server error message.
Thanks

The Haynes for the most part is a waste of money because it doesn't cover the Rubicon in addition to the above stated reasons.

I just bought the OME Mopar Shop Manuals for an 03 Wrangler off of ebay for $65. There is four different manuals in a complete set.
'there were others listed for about the same money,

I am looking to the same year. Were you able to locate any manuals for your 2003. Maybe I could 'rent' it from you?
