O1 Wrangler TJ owner by accident

I found a Wrangler TJ that had been rolled and was listed on craigslist. I only wanted the 5spd NV3550 out of it. The plan was to put it in my 69 Ford Bronco to replace the 3 on the tree. The previous owner did not want to part it out even though he had sold the interior out of it. So I bought the whole rig with 92,000 miles on it for $800 with the plan of selling the rest of the parts. I'm now thinking of just rebuilding it. I need the seats and belts, tub, windshield and frame, front axle housing, roll bar, and I'm sure other unknown parts as well. So I'm now a Jeep owner just unknown for how long. Just depends on how much the build will cost. I have not priced any parts yet. If you have any of these parts let me know and how much.

welcome to the forum. once you reach 15 posts, you can post an thread in the "Wanted" section (or one in the "For Sale" if you decide not to keep the Jeep). your best bet to find the parts you need for a decent price is scan craigslist and ebay. you can also check the "For Sale" section of the forum, that is a good resource as well.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I'm starting to price parts today. The front axle housing is toast. What front end should a guy put in this. It will be more of a daily driver.

Welcome to WF.
I'd go with a HP D30 from a Cherokee, a D44 if you can find one or the original D30 is good too. Check craigslist as I'm sure you already know.

I put in a HP Dana 30 and found a tub and windshield frame. Next stop is the paint shop. I still need to find alot of the interior. I guess I will be keeping it.
