Finally going to lift my TJ

1 Attachment(s)
I recently came into some money and I'm ready to lift my 05 TJ. It's my everyday vehicle and I want to keep it reliable. I already purchased some BFG 32" 11.5" A/T and I'm going to use the factory rims 15x8". I already have an appointment at the local speed shop down the street for next friday, and now I need to quickly make a decsion on which lift kit I should buy. I know this is very common question, but I only have a thousand dollars left and I want to do it right w/o surprises after it's done. If anyone can find it in the heart to make a simple suggestion on a good 3" system that has everything I need, please help. I also have a stearing stabilizer already. Am I going to need 1.25" spacer since I'm using the factory rims??

Thank you for any help I may recieve.

I'm now looking at a Pro Comp 2" Satge kit, with their MX6 shocks, pro comp says the 32" will fit, but I'm thinking maybe I need some coil spacers.

Was also thinking about an OME 2" kit with some 1" coil spacers, would this work well?

RCD makes a 3" kit with Bilstein shocks, maybe this would do it.

I ran 32 11.50's on the same rims as yours and only rubbed on full lock.

you can run a 2" bb with 32's.

Take a look at the Rusty's 2in Coil Lift. I'm running that lift on my Jeep and I like it. I'm very satisfied with the kit. I'm running 32 BFG AT as well.

I would stay away from procomp. From what I hear they are very stiff riding. I think it was the mx-6 shocks that were bad.

I decided to go overboard and went with a 4" stage I procomp system with the better shocks, the MX6 is their best shocks, I heard horrible things about the ES series. Hey 98 Wrangler, I hope my TJ looks as good as your when it's done.

well you said you dont want any suprises...but here's two, SYE kit, and CV driveshaft.

With a 4" lift those 2 things might be needed. At least maybe a motor mount lift and transfer case drop.
