Diveristy!

There has to be a little diversity and creativity in life or it becomes boring. You need a little mud, a little rock crawlin', a few steep inclines, a couple slippery slopes, some deep stream crossings, a row of stumps and logs to hump, and some deep snow to finish it off. Try it all; you won't know what all you can do until you taste it all.

Once again, you have shown your creative, and humorous side, Kat. Well done!!!!!!!!

I am doing my best, at visualizing you in that photo...........:D

One heck of a mental picture.

mud, trails, hills, streams, and red clay...i would love to do a little rock crawling but there isn't many rocks around here...i'll go some day though

Rocks for me with an occasional random trail run thrown in. I get bored though if I'm just driving down a dirt road too long.

Never play in the mud unless I have to to get to the rocks. :D

amerijeep 09-06-2006 06:53 PM

Just fields and woods for me. Water and mud suck. The only rocks around here are on the gravel roads.

Rocks are definitely my terrain of choice, but where I wheel (mostly Central or Northern Ontario) we have everything. Most of the time we have muddy rocks... I don't really like mud that much because you can't see what's going to break your junk (logs/rocks under the surface) and it sux to clean the undercarriage after:mad: . With rocks, at least you can see what is going to break your truck!!!;) :D

Where in Ontario

Jeeperman, I'm curious as to where in Ontario you wheel. We have vacationed (I know, the correct term in Canada is "holiday") on the Bruce Peninsula, Manitoulin Island, and the Upper Canada "mainland" of Sault St. Marie, Wawa, White River, etc. for the past 26 summers. Absolutely love the province. But that $1 per liter is pretty tough at times! Just curious as to where you go to 4-wheel. Would love to know some locations for the future. Thanks!

Well, I go to Parry Sound every Labor Day weekend to compete in ORCC, but I am usually in Bobcaygeon or Minden (right next to each other) to wheel for Jamboree/London Club stuff. I also have a buddy that has a cottage in Minden, so we go up there every year as well (at least try too).

Just water and mud for me...fields and trails suck.

amerijeep 09-07-2006 08:14 AM

Oh man! Water = very bad. To each their own,but my jeep is too important to me to ruin it with water.

What ever is in the way between point A and point B. I Pick a direction and drive.:)

very good point...i was drivin down the road one day, not planning on goin muddin, and i saw a construction area where they were makin a new subdivision with a few paved roads and all the rest was hills and mud cause it had just rain and there was a ton of red clay a few good inclines and good places to flex and some mud cause it had rained and i passed it and i just couldn't help it...i turned around cause i couldn't just pass by it and i took it in some mud...probably a stupid thing to do but i ride on real legal land now :) ...of course it wasn't a real subdivision yet...just a lot of open land

I've been there. The " I wonder where that goes" or the "I bet it's faster to get home if I went through there". Even helped pull a friend out of one of those "I went exploring" erges when he got his jeep stuck in that sand/clay mix, I guess he was cutting through to get home and got stuck. I got the call at about 1:30 in the morning. Now that was interesting to wake up too. :)

I hate mud! 10 seconds of fun turns into 2 hours at the car wash:) As I live in AZ I do not run into it much. We do have stream crossings (we call them rivers but to most of you they are streams at best:)
I love rock crawling! I enjoy using my abilities as a driver and as a builder to see how well I can do. I have built my YJ with the help of my friends and learned to drive well thanks to my friends. To me rock crawling is something I enjoy.
