any ham radio operators here?

I'd really like to mount a 2m transceiver in my jk. Wondered if there were any hams here who could share their mounting set-ups.

thanks

Nope, no hams around here, just bacon. ;)

Seriously, there's quite a few of us.
My radio is currently set up in my shop but here's my wife's.
It's a Yaesu FT-2800

thanks Skeeter,

I'm thinking real hard about an ft-7800r. Just have to decide where to put the radio. Head unit will go on the dash above the stock stereo. I'm thinking under the passenger seat, but that could be a problem if I ever decide to do a water crossing. I'm trying to find some way of mounting it in the back, cover it to protect it if I get caught in the rain with the top down, but still let it cool....

should be interesting.

I use a handheld 2 meter with a mag mount antenna...I don't want to give my equipment away to an idiot thief.

I'm probably going to start there as well. I have to get an antenna set up, then I'll probably use my handheld for now.
