You can buy my spacers, then get what ever shocks you want.

MCG 04-21-2009 08:48 PM

That's very helpfull since I running 31"s with no lift.
Thx for the thread!!
I though that the jeep will look kinda of weired with 2" bb and 31"s...but not .

kdukes4 04-21-2009 08:51 PM

forgot to comment about a BB, i've been told by numerous jeepers on this forum that the rocky ridge set up is a good buy for the money. their web page is Inexpensive Rocky Road budget lifts for your Jeep TJ Wrangler
i'll be going this route in the summer. i'm also thinking about buying the whole kit ( 2" BB with shocks) these shocks are claimed to be formulated for the wrangler given its weight and characteristics.

then you need to get out more.

i run their 4" kit and couldn't be happier.

i personally know a dozen people with their kits and no problems or complaints.

i'd skip the coil spacers and get their 2.5" kit. it's spring/shock replacements and rides like stock. flexes like crazy too :)

Their site advertises a ton of "suggested" parts like a trackbar bracket i believe, steering stabilizers, and things like that. Would someone mind checking out the 2.5" BB page of theirs and letting us (me) know just what you'll NEED to go along with that lift? That stuff seems like it would nickel and dime you to death if you let it.

Joshpfeffer 04-23-2009 02:20 AM

How good are those "Performance 2.2" Shocks? Are they worth keeping? And could you run their 2.5" lift, but order the kit without shocks, and get RE Monotubes instead? If so, which Monotubes would work? In everyone's opinion, which would be the better option?

we just put that kit on a friend's Jeep a month ago. it rides just like it did stock.

you don't need all of the addons to make it work. granted your axles won't be perfectly centered under your rig, but they're not far enough off at 2" to really matter.
