I know in race cars you want and LSD, but do you need one for a Jeep? I do not plan on major off-roading or rock crawling, just maybe some trails, OH snow, and so forth.
I ask because I found one on a lot that is a Flame Red X 23C pkg. 6spd with the only option being the 3.73 and sound system priced at $23,500 before rebates...which goes along with being cheap. :punk:

Yes, get it with the LSD rear. It helps in all situations and is preferred for snow country.

Thanks, I thought it was probably a necessity but was not sure. I called the dealer and they located one with everything I want in Indiana...actually has more than what I want. But if I want to be sure I get the EP (If they actually get rid of it.) I can not order one in time.

You can always add an e-locker aftermarket. Make sure it's rated to deal with the stress of the size tires you plan on running- too big of tires makes them go kersploding along- NOT fun! Mark W.

I don't have LSD and haven't missed it...
When you go to larger tires you'll want to regear too.
BTW, my Sahara was 23,500 out the door last year before the prices dropped. You should be able to get alot for that much money.

I don't have one and DO miss it :) Having the puny 225 width stock X tires does make the problem VERY obvious, though- Mark W.

Thanks for the info. The one they located for me has the 6spd with 3.73 gears, 23S package, LSD, Hard top, Mopar step bars, sound system, and a few other things. Price on it with all the rebates is $25,911 (MSRP $29,630) with $866 dealer holdback. I am hoping to get at least half...if not more of that.
