I have the same crack in the same place. Mines a 94.

on airplane we "stopdrill". just take a drill bit wider than the crack. drill at the end of the crack. that should stop it. watch it for further travel. if it moves drill again with a little larger drill bit. it should stop cracking with the first stop drill hole. fill hole and crack sand and paint. my 94 did not do that but i dumped the doors any way and went soft top and windows.

i'm not a body shop guy but i'd say bondo, metal set or something like that. on aircraft we just sanded and painted so we could watch for future problems. mike

Like I said same crack same spot. The crack has been there for at least 6 years and at least 70k miles. It has not gotten any bigger in that time.
