Lube locker gaskets?
Getting ready to service front/rear diffs and was curious if any one has any experience with the Lube locker reusable differential gaskets, or is permatex better? I have an 03 sport 4.0 auto with D30 front and D44 rear, appreciate any and all comments.

I have been running Lube Locker gaskets - they make servicing my differentials very easy. No complaints after 4 years.

After being a little skeptical of them, I switched to using Lube Locker gaskets a couple years ago and they work well. I don't miss the hassle of rtv at all.

Just ordered them, appreciate the responses gentlemen, thanks again!

Even at wholesale they are not cheap, about 3 times the cost of a tube of RTV ea. But I like them so much I typically will install them on customer axles after a regear and eat the 30$pr, because even for a install its easier and no mess. Not to mention it helps the customer not be so shy to pull the cover to drain the oil at 250-500miles for the first oil change.

I installed these for the first time when I re-geared last August. I am very pleased with their performance. They came in handy when I had to pull one diff cover and re-install it a few months later.

How many times can you reuse the gaskets? I read a few post and some people were saying they only got 3 or so uses out of them.

I just bought a set for my front and rear, total cost $50. If I can get 2 or 3 changes with them, I will be satisfied with the extra cost.

I've been happy with mine. I've probably reused mine about 10 times or so over the 5 or 6 years that I've had them. No leaks so far.

Like mine. Beat using the liquid gaskets and the mess...
