Wheels installed, bumpstops too short.. Advice needed..

I installed my wheels thus morning and everything went smooth. Installed the spare on and the bumpstops are about a .5" short. My backspace is 5.7 and tire width 275 on a set of 18x9 xd addicts. I had a set of daystar extended bumpstops but those things are just terrible and I couldn't get them on. So I trimmed a piece off a wedged them on the oem bumpstops to give some support. I'm currently trying to decide what to do, I want the teraflex hinged tire carrier but am not sure if the bestop/smittybilt carrier would just be enough. If I get the hinge I would still need to get something to extend the bumpstop but the bestop carrier doesn't take any added stress off the tailgate... Any help would be appreciated.

I installed the bestop spare tire carrier with Nitto Terra's 305x70x17. The spare with rim weighs 85lbs. Purchased from 4wheelonline.com for $252. I had to wait for front and rear bumper package, and this holder was a good interim solution. Factory bump stops work fine. Took 30 minutes to install.

The Daystars are fine. They do need to be trimmed to fit. I broke a nipple off one and it still holds in there. 0 issues.

with the hinge from teraflex you do not need the bumpstops; the hinge is the bumpstop.

the daystars are a pain to put in and a pain to take out (no pun intended). I ripped the whole thing off while it was still attached and had to use superglue to reattach the foam piece. I also have some gnarly marks using a flathead trying to pry it in w/ wd40 and i still managed to scratch the tailgate. I shouldve sticked to the factory bumpstops w/ a pcv pipe attached.
