ABQ Newbie

Just bought a '14 JKUR! it's my first jeep so I'm pretty new to the wheeling scene in abq. Looking to get out on the trails soon and I need a partner!

Welcome! There is a pretty active local group. We meet the first Wed of each month at Twin Peaks around 5:30-6:00. We are also having a BBQ/trail ride this Sunday at Cedro Peak. There are threads posted about both of those...

GMAN505 09-24-2013 11:55 AM

Thanks! I'm guessing this group is open to new members?

bill87123 09-24-2013 12:46 PM

Awesome... Welcome!

505jeeper 09-24-2013 12:46 PM

Welcome. You'll find a wealth of information here and great people who are more than willing to help out each other. Come to the barbecue this weekend. It's a beautiful picnic are and the trails are easy and great to learn on.

Hey G-Man,
Welcome to the site. The Albuquerque group is growing - glad to have a new member. Congrats on the new Ride and your first Jeep. The Jeep I have is my first Jeep too :). There are a lot of fun trails here North, South, East and West. Let me know if you want to go - Rio Puerco is a lot of fun, but Cedro this weekend will be awesome.

Welcome Gman. JT will have your 32 page questionnaire and credit app along with the preferred beer of choice for the newby to provide at all future functions. Were you in the Navy by chance? JT has a thing for sailors and seamen in general. Just a word of warning.:welcome::whistling:

I definitely want to check out the puerco. I haven't been out they since I was a kid. And I'm anxious to try out my new jeep! How often do you get out?

Been once with the group here and did go out with the family and explored out there. A pretty fun time. Be cool to check out your new Jeep for sure.

Quark, give me a holler next time you go out. I'm a firefighter so my schedule is kind of random, but I will do my best to get out there!

I work all week so the weekend is the only time I can go out. Usually on a Saturday.

Welcome aboard. Time to start that MOD fund. MODs are so adictive, worse than crack but more fun and rewarding.

Welcome :wavey:!! Hope to meet you at the NMJG bbq and or the wed's Meet & Greet. I think there is a group going to do some wheeling before the bbq, try and come out if you can.
