Coil spacer/shock question

I'm going to get a couple 1" coil spacers for the front of my jeep to level it out and I was wondering if I need some of those shock extenders or something since my shocks are for only a 2" lift, or do you guys think that for just 1" my shocks will be fine?

Thanks in advance,
-Matt

Are they BDS shocks?

How far can you droop your front suspension before lifting a tire?

well you will lose a little bit of travel of course but you might be fine...like he asked ^ how far can you droop? shorter shocks will limit your travel but it may not be much

yes they are bds shocks.

I've never disco'ed offroad(no torx set) so I havent really seen whats the most it can droop.( im getting disco's soon btw)

well i guess you could try the shocks you have now and see if your still getting enough travel...if not then i would get new shocks...with the shocks limiting your travel you'll lose a good bit even when discoed because with the shock to short it can't travel anymore

you won't lose any travel by lifting the vehicle. The shocks still work in the same parameters as before. There is just less droop before you fully extend the shock.

lost: If you are running a BDS shock you will be fine with the 1" spacers.

maybe im reading this wrong but i was sayin with a shorter shock you will loose some travel (droop, flex) from the shock not bein long enough...with the lift it will give it more room to flex but the short shock will prevent it from drooping right?

thanks guys

I think what he mean is that I will be able to flex as much as I can now.

I doubt it but do they make 1" shock extensions?
