Well idk how much it was new but mine had 30k miles on it and I paid 17k for mine. That ones obviously gonna be a little more but idk if 24k is a good price.

This was mine the day I bought her

That is definitely not the norm or it's in worse shape than your describing.

Its a little much.. In my area I could see 18-20K. I got an 01 sport with a few modifications with 74,000 miles for $11,500

TrailbossNJ 09-24-2013 09:38 PM

You can build one for a lot less.....

Rubi513 09-24-2013 09:46 PM

Way too much. Bought my 04 with 60k miles for 13k last year.

Verf 09-24-2013 10:12 PM

Too much. LJ Rubi's can get that kinda money with mods, but only a stealership would try that much for a swb and they don't show any frame pics

InvictusDecretum 09-24-2013 10:22 PM

I know nothing, but 20k seems like it would be a more appropriate price.

Nice Jeep! This is the third posting I have read today with the "is it worth it" question. It depends on a lot of things..modifications and what quality and location are huge. I am sure people would say I paid too much for mine, but it was showroom condition with no mods, just what I wanted. Get it if you love it...you can always offer less. And then drive it with a huge smile. Just my. 02:tomatoes:

TJDave 09-24-2013 11:31 PM

Too much IMO. Tell them there is a huge hole in the fender from the dorkle. Deduct the price of a new fender with install and paint. Deduct a little more for the zombie stickers.:happyyes:

NJO 09-24-2013 11:47 PM

That's a big PASS..........lots of fluff on that rig..........

Steve2012 09-24-2013 11:51 PM

Wonder why rr tire isn't white letter like the rest? Looks newer, but why only 1 new tire?

UnlimitedRubicon 09-25-2013 02:38 AM

If someone pays that much, it's worth that much.

The left rear is different because the old style Goodyear MT/Rs and are no longer available.

New stock LJ Rubi in '06, with two tops, no winch... would have cost ~$26K.
I was 15 minutes from signing for one until the dealer started being a Richard about the price he had previously agreed on my S10-ZR2.
I walked out.

My thought on the rig in the link... $18K max, and only if they removed the snorkel/restored the intake & sheet metal, and removed the stickers...

LoL! I hope you are not a financial adviser by profession! How can you "Drive it with a smile" knowing you paid *far* too much for a depreciating asset that can be had for far less by simply being patient and looking around? He can find one cheaper and use the money saved to mod it out the way he wants....

1jeeplvr 09-25-2013 06:53 AM

I thought it seemed pricey.I wasent looking to buy it I just drive by that particular dlr & saw it as I drove by.I thought maybe 18k on the high side.Looks clean but like someone mentioned,no frame shots.

TrailbossNJ 09-25-2013 06:59 AM

Well hey there: if *you* are coming to the right conclusion about the price, others probably are too...so take a closer look and make him an offer you can afford! If he's smart, might just go for it...

I dont see 10-14k worth of upgrades on that rig.......i know the la kit used is not a great one either......

How 'bout a base Rubicon, for starters. Plenty of them around. And I don't waste time calculating labor on the things I love to do...Spare time is free! More savings right there.....

redneckpunk 09-25-2013 09:31 AM

A stealership was selling an 06 rubi for 25k. It looked stock from the pics, but it only had a smidge over 10k miles on it. Then again, Keeps go for a little more around here unless they have loads of miles on them or are really worn out.

TrailbossNJ 09-25-2013 11:41 AM

Ok, the Rubi has been out for what? 10 years now? Does it have to be an 05-06? Looking online, there are absolutely tons of them out there...I looked at about 15 TJ's before I bought my 02 a couple months ago...was in better shape then many of the later models I looked at...Point being: he's going to pay a premium for all that stuff on that Jeep. If he can handle it, go for it...

Rubicon06Va 09-25-2013 12:36 PM

Do yourself a favor! Go south and don't look back. I wouldn't buy a Wrangler in NY and PA. Wrangler frames are notorious for major rust anyway and most likely rusted-out in the NY snow belt. Buy in Va, NC or SC where rust is not a likely factor. BTW, I saw a 06' Rubicon on craiglist Harrisonburg VA for $13,000 with 113,000 miles today.

SurfKaster 09-25-2013 02:15 PM

No

Kota7x 09-25-2013 03:51 PM

I would pass... I bought my 04 LJ with a 4.25 Rubicon Express Superflex lift, 1" BL, 35x12.5x15 BFG ATs, F/R ARB Lockers, and 4.88 gearing for $17,000. In California with 60,000 miles. There are better jeeps out there.
