2005 tj exhaust

Hello!! i am looking to upgrade my 2005 tj's exhaust system. Headers? mufflers? Should i invest in a 'high flow' catalytic converter or would it be better performance and sound wise to do away with the catalytic converter all together. Any difference in gas mileage or power? Any suggestions on brand and type would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

I do not know where you live but you cannot pass state inspection in NJ w/o a Cat.

i have the banks cat-back and it sounds great and helped with gas millage and gave me some more power.

Removing the cat will drive the computer nuts!

you can increase your gas mileage and horse power by installing headers and flow through mufflers. It will change the sound of your exhaust, but that depends on which mufflers you decide on...you can get anything from quiet mufflers to extremely loud ones, but I would check my local noise ordinance laws before I invested in the latter.

I used the Banks Cold air intake and their header w a fat turbo muffler to clear the lift kit 4.0 sounds sweet and made a good improvement.Let it breath on both ends makes a big difference.Theres a lot of restriction on a stock header.
