Front diff additive

when changing the fluid in the front diff. do I also need to add the LS additive like the rear diff?

Only if you are running a Limited Slip in the front also.

KBR97 06-10-2009 05:49 PM

its the stock diff with stock internals, so I guess not.

Nope, just regular 75w-90 will be fine.

One more question. Is there anything thats safe to spray inside there once I pull the cover, just to clean out any excess old oil and gunk.
engine degreaser? Brake cleaner, wd40?

I always use Brake Cleaner. Plan on using at least a full can to get everything nice and clean first.

I just cleaned mine out with brake cleaner. The limited slip in my Rubicon does NOT need any additives. I use Wally World full synthetic...it meets all the specs.

X3 on the Brake Clean. I used my air hose too, and blew it dry after. If no air just let it sit for a little while and dry off.
