Belly up kits
 
OK, I am looking at belly up kits, looking for suggestions from you fine folks on WF. Who is running what and how easy was the install, what kind of exhaust changes, etc...

Let me know your thoughts and opinions.

Hang on a few months at most before making any decisions on this, Savvy Offroad will be coming out with a T6 6061 aluminum bellyup kit that sounds like it's going to be awesome. No worries on the T6 6061 type of aluminum that will be used, it's well (!!) proven to be an excellent (strong, not likely to dent or gouge) choice for this type of use. :)

One of the Savvy partners (Gerald) just told me they are looking at being in production in August, that's not too far off at all. :)

I'll be upgrading soon as well, and right now the Rokmen one is on the top of the list.

Most Belly-ups require a BL as well for the maximum clearance available.

I run the TeraFlex belly up pan. Did not need to do the BL or exhaust mod. Just bolted it up.

OK, in the case for Rubicon models, since it has the larger T-Case it typically requires a BL to be used or somesort of dimpling of the tub, to clear the entrusions on the T-Case.

I like the one by 33 Engineering personally. It has a seperate piece to hold up the xfer case and tranny then the skid bolts to it. Needs to 1 inch body lift to be installed how they recommend but isn't needed.

Well that remains to be seen for a Belly Skid. :D They did a pretty nice job on the tank skid, but I've got to have way more trust in the belly pan than the tank area. I do however like the thoughts he was having on JF about doing it with a cross-member style like 33 did.

Have they said how close they are going to be able to get it to Flat? Hell Flat is worth about 4" of suspension lift. :D

I dunno Jack but I just wish I could run one when it comes out. My RE LA pan hangs down and there's not much that can be done short short of getting rid of the RE LA suspension... which Blaine of course tells me to get rid of every time I see him. :eek: :D

I told you how to get around that. :D It's just a ton of work to flat bill that RE skid. You know they can get a hold of some steel. Just have him make you something and incorporate the CA mounts into it. :D

A mid-length arm tri-link coilover system that is pretty much his own design. I believe he may be still using several of Currie's J-Arms with f/r Currie Antirocks but I keep forgetting to look that closely since I'm usually too busy trying to keep from getting stuck or destroying my Jeep when I'm lucky enough to be on the trail with him. :eek:
