Reinstalling tail light

I have an 03 sport. The last owner had oversized tires on it and removed the taillight, removed the black plastic cover on the inside of the tailgate, and clipped the wire that was coming out of the tailgate. Before he/she sold it, he/she switched the wheels out with Rubicon wheels with 31" tires. I wanted to replace the tail light and got one yesterday and ran into this trouble when trying to put it on. I have been trying to find where the wires that go to the tail light come from but can't seem to find it. Anyone have any idea or have pictures? I just need to get more wire and reroute the wires but can't find them. Any help would be great!

There should be two spring loaded pins on the pass side. When the gate is closed the power goes through those pins. Take off the plastic piece on the gate toward that side and you should see what to do unless it's all broken or something. I can try to get a pic later of mine.

I just went outside to look at it again. I see the two metal pins that it is suppose to connect to but the last owner completely removed that plastic thing that contacts it. Well I have to run an antenna wire that way anyway so I will just have to plug some wires into it. I have an auto yard close to me, I could just run down there after work and try to get one, unless someone here has one that they could relinquish.

Here is the pic of what is missing, how easy would it be to get a new one?

Shouldn't be too difficult if you can find a wrecked wrangler around. I would think any TJ would be the same in that area. Maybe post a "Wanted" ad on this site. Yeah I'll def get you a pic here in an hour or so of what should be there to give you a better idea.
