New Clutch Estimate

Does anyone have experience with replacing their clutch, professionally, and how much it cost? I'm trying to gauge how much it will cost me to replace it in the next couple of months.

if you replace it your self it will cost the price of the clutch...anywhere from 140-180.

If you have a shop do it you could expect to pay anywhere from $800-maybe $1200.
Its not cheap because 90% of the cost is labor. And with alot of shops charging $80/hour labor fees, the price gets kinda high.
In the shops book the job is probably at least an 8 hour job.

Not to hard at all. Just takes time. And a few tools.

I just followed this thread and it was a saturday/sunday job. I ordered a LUK clutch rebuild kit and away i went.
Get a tranny jack if you are doing this by yourself,..it makes it much easier.

Yea not that hard just get up and take breaks if you get frustrated.

yup, followed along in that write up too. It helps to have a friend even with the tranny jack. But definatly get one if your attempting alone. The tranny is HEAVY.
