Crooked steering wheel
 
After taking off my front and rear track bars, I decided to see how the Jeep would do without the sway bar. After having some fun without the sway bar I put the sway bar back on (since it's my daily driver). This morning while on my way to college I noticed my steering wheel was turned to the right about 1-2 inches as the car was going straight. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

Adjust the rod end at the drag link from the Pitman arm.

Can you explain that a little more I need to do the same thing and I thought it was the steering gear box not the pitman arm that was the issue.

So now I am really curious!

The adjustment to center the steering wheel is done with the drag link. The drag link is connected at the pitman arm and on the passenger side to your tie rod. Loosen the bolts at the collars and turn the tube until the wheel is centered. But make sure your wheels are straight before you do anything. Does not have to be jacked up.

When your done you may notice it move if you are lifted. The stock steering when lifted will tend to when the wheel is first moved roll the tie rods before actually moving the wheels. You can see this if you have someone turn the wheels while you watch.

Ok that's what i thought it was, but needed some advice before i went ahead. I wonder how it got out of line in the first place?...

When the collar bolts are loose, rotating the collar clockkwise (top away from you) will move the steering wheel Counter Clockwise.

I suggest loosen collar bolts move move the Steering Wheel close to where you want it, test drive, adjust the Steering wheel again, test drive again, THEN when the Steering Wheel is exactly where you want it, TIGHTEN DOWN THE COLLAR BOLTS.

X2 ^^ on this. The only thing that I will add to it, is to turn your key on to unlock the steering wheel, before you start, or you will end up breaking the steering wheel lock in the column.
