Looking to customize my YJ interior

I just got a 1994 YJ about a month ago and I love the jeep as far as the vehicle goes but I like the TJ interior better so I was wondering if there was any way that I could customize mine a little to make it look a little more like the TJ. Like the console and the box that the shifter goes into on the TJ.

Please help

Welcome to the forum! You manual or auto? Find it funny that some TJ'ers want YJ interiors and some YJ'ers want TJ interior. I want a YJ interior in my TJ. :)

Yes, lots of folks have switched between the two either in whole or parts. I would think the hardest part would be the HVAC controls. I also like YJ dash layout.

Hell...Next thing you know you'll want power windows and electronic sway bar disconnects.:flipoff:

lol. best way to customize your interior is to take the top of and drive it around for a year that way. gives it a nice rugged look. lol. i hate tj interior. to comfy. feel like im drivin around somethin im going to hurt.

All I was wondering is if the TJ center console will fit in my YJ without any cutting or anything?

I just took mine from an Airbus A380 I found laying around. It's a lot more comfortable.

As for your question yankees172, I've got no idea. You might be able to find some nice new center counsels, and maybe change out the gauges. I dunno much past that.

lol this has got to be the funniest threads i have ever read......i am still laughing at the jet fighter pit and the airbus layout.

I have a YJ and want the CJ interior. Although, I saw someone in here has a nice yellow SOA YJ with a custom stainless dash that would be just as nice. The jet interiors look cool, but I'd probably drive off a cliff while looking at all that crap. Give me a simple, spartan, utilitarian jeep. Although, I'd like the TJ suspension on a CJ.
