These look so much better than stock.. Are there any issues at all with running 31" on the stock suspension? Its probably not big enough of a difference to necessitate regearing or anything, is it? I have a 2005 Unlimited if that helps. Dana 44 in the rear, Dana 35 up front I believe.

Not at all. 31's will ride fine. I had the 31's before i did the bb and never rubbed at all and these are 31x11.5 not the 10.5's. the wheels also have 4" of backspacing. I'm running a 2.5l and could tell a little bit of a difference in acceleration, but since i'm rotating them in the winter with smaller studs, i don't see any sense to regear. plus, i think its a pretty expensive modification if you don't plan on doing it yourself. And from what i understand all of the dana's on these jeeps are a pretty damn solid axle. Plus, the 31's will most likely give you a little boost on mpg depending on your current gear ratios

I have 31x10.50 bfg a/t on my 2000 tj and they only rub when you turn as far as you can, and its not bad. I will run them again.

Stock Ravine rims have 5 1/2" backspacing and I've read frequently that 10.5's will rub (I'm going to the same size on my 04 LJ). I believe you can add some washers to your steering stop to fix this, or you can add spacers, or buy new rims with less backspacing. Just depends how much you want to spend.

If you can find a set of Rubi rims, they have 5" backspacing and can run 10.5's with no rubbing I think. They're also 16" rims.

Anyone who can confirm any of the above, feel free. This is just what I've found while researching the same issue.
