Noob here!

Just joined the forums and hoping to find my Jeep!! I just sold a truck so I now have jeep money!! I'm looking for a 97-99 Wrangler, preferably a white sport but we'll see. I plan on having a 2" suspension lift with 33" tires and I'm sure after being on here I'll get a whole nother list of wants! Anyhow, I'm in Roswell, NM so if anyone is close (which I doubt) hit me up! Also, if anyone knows of a Jeep for sale in my area let me know!

Oh believe me, I know!! I also have an '04 Mazda 6 and before I got it I joined that forum. They actually helped me find it! Anyhow, that forum has made me spend more money on that dang car!! You just get so many ideas and everything so I'm sure that's what's going to happen to the Jeep!! Owell. Where in AZ are these people? I always figure I'm in the middle of nowhere so basically if you are less than 6 hours away I feel like your close! lol

So, I'm looking at this Jeep on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

However, it seems like such a good deal but there haven't been any bids and the "buy it now" is way lower than blue book. Is there something wrong that I am just not seeing? Opinions please!! I don't want to get ripped off but it seems like such a deal!!

Odhinn 10-18-2006 06:36 AM

Welcome to the forums. I was just in that area on vacation with the family. Saw alot of jeeps in fact I waved at a few of them then I realized I wasn't in my jeep. wow I got some odd looks. I guess old habits are hard to break. lol

ok, nevermind, it sold. That's ok anyhow, everyone I spoke to talked me into getting a V6 and to forget about the 4-banger. Looks like I'm going that route and the search continues!

mrbigjeep 10-18-2006 10:22 AM

good luck. go with a 4.0

anjyl_99 10-26-2006 11:26 AM

FOUND MY JEEP!!! Got it this morning!! 2001 Wrangler Sport, had to get the 4.0!! Now it needs to rain so I can go play in the mud!!

amerijeep 10-26-2006 11:53 AM

Great. That looks like an awesome Jeep.

Odhinn 10-26-2006 11:58 AM

Great looking jeep, congrats on the new addition

Texapple 10-26-2006 06:38 PM

I'm doing a rain dance for ya :D

mrbigjeep 10-26-2006 08:26 PM

sweet jeep...congrats...i found out that mud is hard to clean...really helps if you have a pressure washer...maybe the rain will be pouring when your muddin though so it will wash some of the mud off when your done :D

Welcome to the poor farm!

Remember this acronym:

JEEP= Just Empty Every Pocket

I don't think anyone here will argue with that!

;0)

Broke her in last night. I'm sure I will find that the mud is hard to clean too. I haven't attempted it yet:

Does that theory work for the interior too? lol. There are more pics in the ride/trail section if you're interested.

Dare2BSquare 10-30-2006 10:53 AM

If I was going to mud like that, I would NEVER leave the top off!!! You will never get that thing clean.

Texapple 10-30-2006 07:15 PM

well at least your drink cup has a lid :D don't like grit in my Coke.

anjyl_99 10-31-2006 02:19 PM

Ya, too bad the camera was in the cup holder next to it!! Luckily it still works though but it was pretty covered in mud!! Hell of a time though, I don't regret it at all. It wasn't that bad to clean, it came right off the seats, I was quite suprised.

mrbigjeep 10-31-2006 09:14 PM

did you clean the under carriage? just wait until your next car wash. no matter how good you clean it the first time it will still be under there. i sprayed under there washing my car long after i went muddin and after i had cleaned under there good the first time and still had TONS of mud coming out

ha. no way. i just meant the term "car wash" not necessarily a jeep. just when she goes to the wash :)

i would have definitely lost some points on that one

I heard the trick is to put a sprinkler underneath for a little while just to loosen up the mud a bit and then try and spray it all off. I still haven't washed her yet, well I did a quick job on the inside, but it's definately on the top of my list of things to do! But, I've got to admit, I do feel like a bad ass driving around all muddy - especially cuz I'm a chick!
