Newbie in Wilmington, NC

Just joined the forum to get some help or suggestions. I live in Wilmington, NC and have been wanting a Jeep Wrangler for about 2 years now. I look on craigslist all the time just pass by them on the side of the road but still haven't bought one yet. I have seen some AWESOME looking ones but it wasn't the right time to buy but now I have a little money saved up so it might be the time. I am looking in the $5,000 range, of course it is going to have some miles but I have seen some pretty decent looking ones in that range before. For now it would mainly be a weekend drive out on the North end of Carolina Beach vehicle so it will not be my primary vechile as of now. Another question is are there any Jeep Wrangler clubs around the Wilmington, NC area they meet up and go off roading (just guys bored looking to get out the house)? Any help with be appreciated and anyone with a Jeep for sale around the Wilmington area let me know. Thanks in advance !!!!!!!

Welcome aboard. Good luck with your search and be patient.

Do a google search for Wrangler or 4x4 clubs in your area. I'm sure you'll find some.

thanks for all the hellos and I will continue to look on craigslist like I have been doing, I'm sure something will catch my eye at the right price. If anyone has any helpful hints as to what to look for (4 cylinder, inline 6, manual, automatic etc.) please feel free to share. I really don't know anything about jeep wranglers but REALLY want one, just seems like it would be fun riding around with the top down, four wheeling on the north end with my board on top. I will google wrangler clubs in my area and see what comes up, good idea. Thanks

Welcome! Be patient!
Personally I had a 4 cylinder, but I would go with a 6 if I had a choice
